When Jormag awoke, a Norn general named Gilgamesh Prime gathered his men and set out to kill the dragon. Sadly, they were no match for the monster. One by one, they perished on the battlefield. The last man standing was Prime himself: he was heavily wounded, but refused to give up. Jormag admired his fierce spirit and offered him an allegiance. Gilgamesh would become Jormag's general, also granting him immortality and immeasurable power. Gilgamesh refused the offer, claiming he would never betray his own kind. The dragon was not pleased: using his magic, Jormag tried to corrupt Gilgamesh.
The Norn's eyes turned blue, his skin became ice. His spirit, however, remained unharmed: the Foefire's Essence, Prime's greatsword, protected its master from the dragon's corruption.
Now, an immortal Prime travels across all of Tyria to hunt down and kill the dragon's minions. The flames of the Foefire are keeping the corruption under control. One day, he will slay the dragon of Ice and revenge his fallen brothers.
