Dusk Meditation

Kanshou is one of my newer toons. I just love Sylvari. I have three right now and I'm likely to create at least one more. Even though she's new she is still one of my favorites, second favorite behind Kexue. She's a Revenant. That profession was one of the things I was looking forward to when I picked up Heart of Thorns. My first Revenant didn't impress me. I thought the profession was fun but not fun enough to devoute any time to. So when I decided I wanted another Sylvari (she's my third one) I deleted my first Revenant and created her. In the end it wasn't the profession that I didn't enjoy but the character itself. I firmly beleive that the story and attitude you create for your toon goes a long way to what makes the profession fun. Sure you can just create toons just to create them but for me, if I can't picture a story behind the toon then they aren't interesting and fun.

I picture Kanshou as a warrior monk. I think the use of legendary figures and their attunement with the Mists helps with that concept. When I created this toon the guild was running a spring themed fashion contest. So I opted to go colors that invoked early life or early morning in my mind. Thus the use of Lemon and Lime. I used red as the base as the darker color made the use of the lighter green and yellow colors stand out more and I didn't want to go with black. The red also helped to make the outfit look more alive. One of the aspects I love most about the Sylvari culture armor is the fact that it glows like Sylvari do. Thus evening missions become a lot more fun.
