This is the first character I ever made in Guild Wars 2. Her name is Rowan Aspen. ( Which I know is a stupid name, I had the opportunity to change it but kept it for sentimental reasons. ) I know this outfit is a, uh, you know, Outfit, but I'm still pretty proud of the way she looks.
This is my first ever post and I'm really looking forward to becoming a part of this sick community.
( Once I get some skins in my minuscule wardrobe, that is...)
( The outfit BTW is the wedding attire, and the staff skin is the Zenith Spire. The backpack is the Crystalline Dragon Wings backpack. )

 Hylek Fashionista | First of all: welcome to the website :D Its a bit unfortunate, that you chose an outfit as your first upload :S Outfits rarely make it above a Silver rating and are usually stuck at Bronze. The main reason for that is the lack of creativity and originality you can put into the look, once you decided to wear an outfit. To make up for it you would have to slayyyyy with your presentation, but thats a hard task! That being said, your presentation itself isnt that bad, but ist not enough to make an outfit shine. Some thoughts for improvement: - the description is quite nice. some thoughts about the skins you used or some bio about your character would round up that section of the presentation perfectly - you should specify armor, skins and dyes - your screens look promising, but its always the same pose :P try to use some skills to get pretty action shots and use the camera-options in the settings to create a better field of view Also you could pay a little bit more attention to the background in your screenshots ... since you chose still-standing poses, you have all the time in the world to get the background into the right position :P - last but not least: try to use weapons and accessories that fit your armors style! In this case i think the staff looks off the most, due to its colour. The wings fit your chars skintone and glowing quite nicely, but i dont feel like the outfit goes well with them. Id suggest you drop the outfit and build around the pastel hues of your char and the wings. Thats it for now. I hope i didnt discourage you too much, but due to the fact that this is an outfit, i cannot rate above Bronze :/ Im looking forward to see your your future ARMOR-combs ^^ |

 Chorne Trendspotter | Thank you! I've been trying to add to my wardrobe but at the moment but I am pretty broke. I'll try to find some different crystal-themed things to go with the wings. I didn't know about camera settings. Thanks for the tip! :D The staff is the only skin I have at the moment that remotely fits my character. I'll try to get some Black Lion Claim tickets to get some more. |
