_____________________They were the heroes of the Middle Ages: with lance, sword and shield, knights in shimmering armour fought for land, faith and love. Women worshipped them, poets glorified them...
Since the late Middle Ages, the image of chivalry not only shaped the actual knighthood, but also the way of life of the entire Christian European nobility. A central concept in this connection is the chivalry until today. An important expression of chivalric lifestyle was the tournament, which enjoyed great popularity among the nobility since the 12th century. It served not only for entertainment, but was also an exercise for military conflicts.
The role model of the Middle Ages generally did not allow women to become knights. However, there were exceptions_____________________
Seventeen-year-old Zoreh from Divinity's Reach is a pretty, albeit poor girl who lives a hard and arduous life as a commoner. During the day she delivers the swords forged by her father to the palace, while at night she secretly trains at the royal court, because her greatest dream is to pursue the occupation of knight, which is forbidden for girls.
She likes to rage and fight with boy gangs and is determined to become a knight, no matter how often her father, the armourer, explains to her that there are no female knights. First she starts an apprenticeship with her aunt, the magician at the edge of Lake Doric. But when Fort Evennia is attacked by White Mantle and his army and her father is killed in the attack, her decision is final: she wants to fight the knight - as a tournament knight. First she thinks up a new name, false identity, so to speak. Then she chooses some weapons forged by her father for Queen and sets off. Against all odds - no woman has ever taken part in the knight's tournament before - her journey to the tournament begins and finally joins the battle.
This is my Story (*inspired by Mist Lord's weapons & Basic Guild Cape)
I had had the idea of knights for a long time, but there was not enough time to put it into practice. With the introduction of guild capes, I decided to do it. Today I present you female knights in the style of the Middle Ages.
The appearance of the knight and the composition of his weapons changed enormously from the early to the late Middle Ages. The sword was the most widespread weapon of the knight besides the lance. Other weapons used by knights were the morning star, battleaxe, warhammer and mace. While the shields of the Carolingian tank riders were still typical round shields, later on drop-shaped Norman shields were used.
I hope you like my knight tournament moments, only one horse I cannot offer :)
