Preface:
Wow, this website has really grown. Hey guys, Threeohsix here, haven't been to the site in a very long time (last time I was here was when I posted my Rustic Ranger look
https://gw2style.com/look.php?id=7144 ). After seeing the level of quality all the posts have evolved into, I decided to try my hand at some more artistic and themed pictures. Enjoy!
The Wizard from the North
(Sorry dudes, no RP from me lol). The main idea with this look as you can tell is a winter/ice/snow themed Wizard. For the RP folks you can take the images and the look and use your imagination, create any story you'd like! I love the wizard hat so wanted to work with that. Also I'm into tasteful infusions and auras. I think when done well they can really take your look to the next level. I also love the winter environments in this game and really wanted to capture the cold and beauty of the winter environments.
Editing Notes:
Added this section because I'm sure there are some that are interested. As you can tell all the images have been edited in some form or another, some more heavily than others. The main goal was to sort of "frame" the image better and to create atmosphere or a more dynamic look. All the images were edited in Photoshop, using non-destructive methods (layers, masks, smart objects, etc.). I focused on a couple core elements for each one: color adjustment, depth of field, motion. For color adjustment I used the prime suspects, levels, contrast, exposure and saturation. I also used some color masks to fine tune areas to draw the eye to the subject. Depth of field, pretty obvious, blur foreground or background, draw the eye etc. Motion, on a couple I added some motion blur to create a more dynamic look. On others it was just a simple blurred snowfall effect. And lastly on most of the images there is some addition of overlayed assets such as snow, smoke, fog, mist, sky, etc. All said and done, all edits packaged down and then applied a very fine grain to give it a slight cinematic look. For those interested I threw together a before and after album, enjoy!
