When my friend noticed that the new pirate hook and peg leg skins were available on the gem store, he immediately bought them for himself and me. So it became obvious to make a pirate themed character. He also gifted me the eyepatches ;)
It was tricky to find something that looks pirate-ish without having all the long coats either covering the gloves or the boots. I also think it makes sense to have an engineer losing something in an experiment gone horribly wrong. Although I like to think that maybe she damaged her own eye with the hook since one of the static animations is scratching her head with the hook.
My above mentioned friend also gifted me the mini angry chest when it first came out. I had yet to find a matching character to have this mini with until now. Perhaps a somewhat harmless cursed relic that now follows her after an expedition.

 Fylah Trendspotter | I love your screenies, they really match the look, creative! :) You have a lot of colours going on there, maybe swap one of them with a colour that you're already using, to pull it together more? I'm expecting a lot more of these pirate looks, but yours is a nice one. Too bad you can't have an eyepatch and hat, aye? ;) |

 Natanya Stylist | I think even with the recent release of the pirate hat/eye patch combo I would still keep just the eyepatch for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I love the hair and would hate to cover it up. And secondly, the patch goes over the other eye. So if she had the new combo headpiece and was to look through the scope on her rifle (like the screenshot on the left in the 4th row), her eye would be covered. I know there's a lot of dyes going on, and some don't match up properly with the pieces being from different sets (grrr...). I can try to fiddle around with them a bit to see what I come up with. |
