Herald of Glint

My herald and her kind of cliche story, but I thought it would be fun.

Viadh had met Glint many years before she fell. In the eyes of Glint’s followers, who found her as a small child, she had been chosen.

Viadh swore on her life to protect and serve the crystalline dragon, and was determined to uphold her promise. Glint, too, saw great things in this warrior, so much that she ‘branded’ Viadh in her own unique way. This changed her appearance and personality dramatically. Viadh’s loyalty to the dragon was absolute from then on, and she would be Glint’s greatest champion.

However, just before Glint faced Kralkatorrik with Destiny’s Edge, she spoke to Viadh in her lair. “I want you here, in the heart of my sanctum. I want you to protect it for as long as you can.”

Viadh protested, but Glint had made up her mind and she could not disobey. She remained, completely alone for what felt like far too long.

Glint’s inner sanctum was separated from the rest of her lair, and Viadh would not know of her fate until much, much later.
