Archibald, The Noble Engineer

I have put a lot of work in this outfit, i hope you will like it :) . I'll give your the regular informations first, and then the character background.

Head : Top and Bottom Left = Cream Shade. Bottom Right = Gunmetal
Shoulders : Top and Bottom Right = Chalk. Bottom Left = Calfskin
Chest : Top = Graphite. Bottom Left = Blood. Bottom Right = Calfskin
Arms : Top = Calfskin. Bottom Left and Right = Gunmetal
Pants : Top = Old Jeans. Bottom = Mahogany
Boots : Top and Bottom Left = Calfskin. Bottom Right = Mahogany

I wanted my character to look realistic and lore friendly, which is rare nowdays considering half the game is filled with "Ultimate dark lord with ugly infusions" or "Human Female with barely enough clothes to cover herself from hit and cold". Every gear he has, he got from his achievements or adventures or even from the nearest clothes vendor in Divinity's Reach. Nothing fancy, but still, stylish enough to look good among the plebe.


Character Background :

Archibald grew up in a relatively simple familly in Divinity's Reach. His Father was an assistant tailor and his mother was a book seller, both of their work would bring a low, but stable income to live peacefully in the commoner district. One would have told that nothing would predestined this child to a particulary bright future.

Things were going that way until it was discovered that Archibald got a special talent. Indeed, he was smarter than any other child of his age. Questions or riddles that would have melted a simple child's brain, were not even answered, but improved, by Archibald himself. Instead of playing with his toys, he would dismantle them to transform them into new ones.

Thanks to his rare gift, his parents would decide to send him to the Queen's Academy when he would be at age. This was the only chance he could ever have to step up in society after all. What could he expect to become but a mere worker with no titles, name or fortune ? His parents worked very hard for years to save enough money to be able to pay the academy's registration fee, but when their son reached 18, they offered him the key to his future.

Of course, everything was not easy for him. Coming from a poor familly and entering a noble institute would be proven difficul to fit in. He was often mocked, ridiculed and bullied by spoiled noble brat, telling him he would never succeed in becoming someone and that he should return to to the rathole he came from. But such insults would not destroy Archibald's determination, and brilliant, Archibald was indeed. He ranked himself first in every possible class, outsmarting the other students. His teachers told him he may actually have the intelligence of an Asura. By the time he reached the end of his studies, he was recommended to be sent to the Asura's "Dynamic University".

From there, Archibald would become one of the most intelligent human engineer. He graduated from the Dynamic University, went to study the charr's warmachines, made a golem prototype he called "Spencer" and finally landed as one the royal engineer assistant for the creation of the Clockwork Sentry way before the event of scarlet.

On the year 1325, however, Tyria would change forever. Starting by the centaur attack at the city gate until the event we know today. After helping the seraph clearing the area, Logan Thackeray took him under his wings and presented him to the 3 order of Tyria. Knowing the dragons would become a more serious threat to the world and having a good knowledge of war machines, he decided to join the Vigils. When the final assault against Zaithan was launched, he was part of a ship's crew, fighting lesser undead dragons while the main force attacked the Death Dragon itself.

Following the war against Zaithan, Archibald was made a Noble by the Queen Herself. He then returned to Divinity's Reach to resume his work as the royal engineer assistant.

He participated in every war against dragons. Mainly as an engineer in chief on the front. When Cantha opened his border once more, he traveled all the way to Neo Kaineng to meet with the scientists creating the jade golems. This is where he developped the golem he always wanted to create, "Spencer" the advanced combat Bot.

During the combat versus Soo-Won, he helped protecting the extractors with the commander, Taimi and Joon. When the battle was over, he headed back to Divinity's reach, and was officially named "Royal Engineer" by the Queen.

Nowdays, he is working closely with Canthian scientists in order to improve the technology of the Krytian Kingdom.
