Some background information: I created a mesmer after falling off of the end of Troll's Revenge, and I have fallen in LOVE with the class. After looking up builds, weapons and armor I created this idea for a cute, girly scholar mesmer and finally after a long time of leveling her on the side, she's done! Nothing seemed more apt than a scribe, and Scarlet Scars was kind enough to let me use their Guild Hall for scribing to truly tie her look together. The back item is the Simple Scribe's Backpack, but the items search isn't showing it.
She is inspired by French nobility, particularly an 1800s Victorian vibe. The sword she carries is as close as I could find to that of French high-ranking officers' sabres, and her clothes emulate the frilly dress of the time. Even with the colors, I tried to stay true to a faded, more natural color scheme. This set isn't meant to be flashy--I wanted her to feel like she could blend right in among scholars. I chose purple as her main color because it matches the Mesmer's magic as well as being a typical color for nobility, and brown as her accents because it is the color of wood and leather bound books. A touch of honey gold blends it all perfectly together!
Rosalie Monet is a bookish noble that decided to join the Durmand Priory after spending her whole childhood and adolescence learning about magic and the secrets of it. She has an affinity for it, being a Mesmer, and was privileged enough to be taught fencing (hence her use of a rapier). Many of the photos picture her reading, studying, practicing and exploring her family's mansion or the hidden Durmand Library. She is an explorer, and often accompanies novices and explorers on missions to gather artifacts because of her combat knowledge.
Because of her knowledge and combat talent, Rosalie is to play an important part in gathering knowledge on the Elder Dragons for the inevitable battles to come. Through the Durmand Priory, she participates directly in helping the Pact. She's particularly interested in Kralkatorrik, and what his sphere of influence on Crystals could mean for the crystal-esque Mesmer magic. If she "travels" to Elona I may update with a desert scholar version of her outfit.
