I wanted to create a look, that fits to Cantha with its oriental theme.
Therefor I decided to use the Masquerade Mantle, because the fan looks very oriental to me. The gloves came in my mind, because of the little blue gemstone that can also be found at the Masquerade Mantle.
It was not easy to find fitting pants, without clipping issues with the Winged Tunic. But the Feathered Pants just work nice.
In my opinion the Zodiac Shoes make the outfit look a little more "lecturing". She should look more like a teacher/professor and less like a student.
As a color I had the typical Luxon-Red in my mind and I adjusted it a little. That is how I ended up using Heirloom as a main dye.
Because the hair was clipping and I wanted to show you the Illustrious armor equipped, I had to change the style

I know taste is different, but I would like to know what makes you dislike the look.
If you vote, please leave a comment. I want to improve for later looks :-) Thanks!

While I did see this combination of armour pieces quite a lot in game (probably due to the centre pieces being some of the easier obtainable ones), I do feel you stuck well with your theme
Thinking back to my own elementalist in GW1 Factions, the armour does resemble the Cantha look quite a lot
I also really like the dyes, especially the dark red and Charred in combination ^^
I think she looks a little bit more interesting with the mask on
For screens I would advise you to look for a bit more thematic locations, there are some places reminiscent of Cantha all over the map and some strong screens would help making this whole look feel a little more original
However I still think you payed great attention to detail, so it´s still an overall gold for me ^^

I was skeptical at first but upon closer viewing, found her to be really striking and beautiful. I have a question though, does the mask actually change her hairstyle when worn? it looks different with the mask on! For this beautiful lady, Gold!

Hey, thank you. No the hair does not change by itself. I used a styling kit to do so.
