Exalted Salvage

During her trip into the depths of the Maguuma she encountered a race of shimmering warriors, an entire people that were converted into energy and then encased in golden armor. They are known as the Exalted, a secretive sect dedicated to ensuring the survival of Glint's egg, her final Legacy to the world in the wake of her death at the hands of Kralkatorrik.

However not even these magical entities were without struggle or hardship, they were under siege from the encroaching Mordrem and one day they had to make the ultimate sacrifice. One of them paid his life to protect the city and it's people from the clutches of the Dragon's minions, to honor him the visiting Charr took his remains and reforged them. Merging his armored casing with her own robes and rags to combine the experiences she's had in Tyria with the hardships she's faced in the Maguuma. It did not end there however, using his essence and a bag of beads given to her by a grateful Hylek upon the shores of Sparkfly Fen she crafted a staff. A rod of shimmering gold that embodied the rays of the sun and the untouchable glory of those that had passed to save the auric citadel.

Using her new weapon she sets off the darkest reaches of the Dragon's domain, no matter how deep the shadow of Mordremoth may run the light of her staff will guide her way.

An eternal tribute to the eternal soldier that gave everything to save his people from the clutches of the Elder Dragons, and it shall carry on until the threat of the Elder's has been snuffed out for good.

I hope you liked the bit of back story, I know it doesn't quite match the actual items or how it's crafted but it's my personal headcanon for my character. I hope you enjoy the look, the Azimuth is a really great weapon, when HoT released I wrote it off as 'not interesting', but now that I have one for myself I can say I was dead wrong.

Thanks to whoever it was that uncovered the recipe, you gave me the motivation to craft the dang thing for myself and now I have a whole new look.
