I wanted a look that would inspire respect for my character, even though it is light armor, wanted to give it a heavier look.

Apart from the fact that the colors are used in a totally inappropriate way (for example, metal ornaments on leg pieces are grey/black and head+chest+shoulders are bright yellow), your choice of armor also seems a bit random (spikes on shoulders, skulls on hands and lion heads on leg armor).
The chest piece you use now doesn't really look like heavy armor. The best fit would be Runic Shaman Coat or Luminous armor (alternatively maybe Forgeman armor, Armor of Koda or PvP stuff).
Illustrious armor Legings, Requiem Breeches (or already mentioned Runic Shaman, Luminous armor) and other, more metallic shoulders would look better

I'd like to recomend the Warbeast pants for the light/heavy effect with the Seer coat and Seer gloves. Try to define better the metalic dyes effects. It doesn't must be iron, you can play with silver for example or gold but take care about the color match. Not all the skins have the same textures so you have to play with dyes effects. What i'm saying is to play with the same colour but with different shades.

@ieva You are right regarding the dyes mismatch, the problem I'm facing is that I still want to keep a magey look to it, and the seer pants look good for it, but the dye channels are not helping me, so I may have to either rethink the dyes for the top or for the bottom. As per your recommendation, I've tried both the Runic Shaman Coat and Luminous Armor, and like both of them, but only have access to Luminous right now.

@Lyka Thanks for the input, I've kept the Seer pants but changed the color to match the rest. I'm having the issue you mentioned with dyes, some are hard to match. I'll upload a new picture with the changes I've made

I've updated the look trying to match the dyes a little bit better and replacing the armor and gloves, still having some issues with matching dye colors, since the gloves and armor have a more metalic relfection.

That looks much better !
Another suggestion: try to use some dark red or brown (e.g. midnight bronze dye) for the black colored parts. I think this would look more harmonic than hard black
