The current iteration of my main gw2 character's look.
The goal was to achieve a nice looking mixture out of avatarish (cause Sylvari), armorish (cause Guardian) and bluish (cause Guardian spell effects) elements as well as the fractal greatsword (cause personal favourite weapon skin).
I'm working on this look since years (see incomplete history picture) and invested a ton of gold into it.
Srsly speaking, male Sylvari heavy is really hard and annoying to customize imo. There are simply not enough decent looking armor pieces in this case. I quit the game more than countless times because I was unsatisfied with my look and couldn't figure out a satisfying one. I really can't recommend this race+gender for the given class. In addition to that, the lightning can easily screw you over.
I really prefer the look of WoW's armor in general, but you can't have everything in this game, I guess.

 Cloudmaker Stylist | I really like that you tried something else than the full sylvari cultural armor. The mix is quite nice but I don't fancy the gloves myself. From the long list of different variations I looove the 3rd one from right! |

 Adrenalin Wanderer | If you are honest, we simply don't share the same taste. The variation you're talking about was decently looking even ingame, but I'm simply no fan of no-headgear and full plant armor (especially for heavy classes). The greatsword and backpiece didn't match that great in this case either. |
