The pase idea of the look is pretty cool, with the black, yellow and patterns of the armor, it reminds me of big cats of prey like tiger or leopard, which fits the thief of an elonian thief very well.
I think the contrast in colors is a bit too stark and the yellow too glaring though. The black also drowns out a lot of details of the armor, making it look somewhat flat and twodimensional.

Thank you so much for the help. What would you suggest other than the black and gold? I'm open to any suggestions!

I'm not sure, i'd have to open up the dye panel and try around with it, that's what i usually do. It takes a while but i find it to be quite fun fashion wars gameplay. :D
You can sort by color and don't need to own a dye to try it out. Pick a hue (orange, yellow) and select one of the colors that looks good, then see how it is applied to your armor, they don't always translate one to one. If it dyes darker than it looks in the preview, you might want to try colors looking lighter than what you are going for and so on...

I'd say you could start by replacing the shadow abyss with regular abyss or black though.
Maybe daffodil or Pyre for the yellow/orange parts but i'm not sure. Maybe matriarch brass?
Didn't spend much time on it and the skin and hair of my char are way different.
