The Huntsman

Have you heard the story of the Huntsman?

No one knows who he truly is... only that he's an old Norn.

How old, who can say? He never speaks, or removes his Horned Helm. They say he fashioned it with the horns of the very first beast he slew, long ago.

His armor too is made from the remains of his prey. Thick hides of Dolyaks, scales of Drakes, horns of Minotaurs. Who knows what else it is made of.

Some want to believe he's an immortal spirit, but don't believe those stories. His old injuries prove he's mortal. His lost arm and leg are signs of his deadliest fights. But he won them, and came out stronger.

He rarely comes to Hoelbrak, but he does visit on special occasions. Children often run away scared, but they have nothing to fear. The Huntsman is a good man, even if he prefers the company of the Spirits of the Wild over that of his fellow Norn.
Many travelers have been saved by him on the roads of the Shiverpeaks. Some were rescued at the last moment from a marauding bear or griffon. Others on the roads turn a bend only to find a pack of icebrood slain, the only sign of the Huntsman being his recognizable footprint and peg leg in the snow.

The people of Tyria have a lot to thank the Huntsman for, and I hope that, Spirits willing, he keeps honoring them for many years. Perhaps one day, he will take on Jormag himself! I'd would honestly say his odds of winning would be better than most.
