Battleworn and growing weary of the fight, Irin looks on with a twinge of sorrow. All these starry-eyed young warriors throwing themselves into battle and only a handful will ever return. She had started out as they did, wanting more than anything to carve a great name for herself. A great name... heh. Was there a grain of truth to the Palawa's words? Was she somehow to blame for so much destruction over all those years? The thought gnawed at her, always. She was never religious, but Irin often finds herself talking to the gods, now. No, they wouldn't answer. They're gone.

They left.

The thought ignites the last fumes of determination she has left to press on.

A 'zerker and slightly older-looking character, I'd wanted it to look like her armor was once presentable and pristine, but now sooty and tarnished, melted in spots and starting to break down in others (embedded crystals)...she'd keep it that way as a sort of a personal history. The color palate gives more of an ombré effect -- bronzes and greens toward the center, then becoming more dull and grey on the outer edges. I really enjoy berserk mode with the outfit, so I included a couple screens of that, too.

I love it. I really like how in the scenes where shes posing there's no helm insinuating not a dangerous area then in the halls she has her beserker helm with her torch like shes exploring an unknown area. Lovely!

Thank you :) haha, well the candelabra (which I totally didn't see until just now) wasn't throwing off nearly enough light. Danger in dark corners n' all that. =P

Irin McKaye all the way! I really like this take on an older female warrior. Great representation and omg those dye colours match SO well with the orr lighting. The yellow just makes me happy to see.
I also like how you've given her story, unlike with Gia. It really does make an impact! XD

I hope you keep showing more characters!

Thanks for that! Yeh, I may or may not have a minor obsession with Orr.. There're a million different atmospheric nooks and crannies all stuffed in there and Arah has the whitest light I know of, so it's handy to check colors in. :3

Oh yeah, story definitely makes an impact and it was absolutely worth taking a stab at it. Writing is freakin' hard, though. Props to everyone who takes the time to post a fully articulated *character*.
