Inspired by the wild and vibrant looks of both Southsun Cove and Monster Hunter. I always found myself using very earthy and neutral colors on my armor because it was a safer bet when it comes to pulling an outfit together. Then one day I was looking at some Monster Hunter videos and loved how the gear used parts of the beasts they slayed. So I decided I wanted to do the same with my gear in GW2, while looking for a longbow that used parts of a monster I came across Arthropoda. After that I got really into the color pallet of the Southsun Cove concept art. Thus this outfit came to be. As far as the monster theme goes, the Carapace Jerkin would probably fit better but I tend not to like medium armor that could double as a dress so that was just a matter of personal taste.

Also, I couldn't find the greatsword in the list of weapons here but the name is Caladbolg Orchida for anyone wondering.

Edit: I figured I'd give a bit more reasoning for each of my skin choices.
Headpiece: I chose it for the skull look to add to the whole "using parts of beasts slain" theme and because I didn't like how other skull looking headpieces fit on my characters face.
Shoulders: I sometimes turn off the hood and turn these on for a slightly alternate look.
Chest: It's one of the few skins that isn't a trench coat or dress and the daggers along the side add a bit to the "hunter" theme.
Gloves: These were chosen for the bits of bone stacked around which added to the theme.
Legs: They were one of very few skins that meshed well with the skirt part of the top.
Boots: There's a few other boot skins that better fit the theme but they either made my legs look like pencils or super huge. I liked the way these ones shaped the legs.
Weapons: The longbow is the only weapon that's really constant and it was the one that fit the theme best and also added more color (a close second was the Mordrem Warbow). The greatsword skin is mostly there for added color since other beast looking skins are white bones or something brown and I often swap it to use staff or sword/axe anyhow.

There is potential for that look, but I feel like the hood does not fit. Neither does the weapons tbh. There's something about having a full-face mask like grent and having that much skin showing on the body that is not so good.

Colors are also kind of clashing and do not mix well together. The teal gloves and turquoise pants kind of look like they are coming from nowhere.

The screenshots are good, however.

I like the colors very much. It's so fresh and cheerful. And your screens look lovely.

I used to see the T3 human medium armor very often when I started to play this game, but not lately. Surely I don't remember anyone using this color combination.

There are only two things that you can't do anything about and that spoil this look for me - the unnecessarily revealing top (it would look so much better if the shirt was more shirt and less bra) and the mask under the hood. The hood fits the style nicely, but would look better with only some cloth over the mouth or something like that.

But those are just my unrealistic ideas. Anyway, I like your colourful theme a lot, have a gold from me.

I can basically only echo what Katushka said: the dyes and screens are creative and look very professional, but the top and the headpiece just don´t provide anything for the look
They don´t really feel like they belong to a particular theme, nor do they make sense to me with the background story you provided
Love the story, but the overall look isn´t quite enough for an overall gold to me

The reason I chose the Grenth Hood was because the mask resembles a skull, namely something like a cow skull, and I wanted another piece that incorporates the whole "use the parts of the beasts you've slain" theme much like the gloves and bow. I know there's a few other headpieces that use bones like the Accursed Visage or Rascal Mask but I really don't like how they fit on the face so I went with this instead. And as for the colors If you take a look at the Southsun Cove loading screen you'll notice the pallet is much the same as what I'm using, plus if you look at pictures of Monster Hunter gear you'll notice they often use a very mixed combination of colors.

Thank you! And yeah I agree with you on the top being too revealing, I think it would've been perfect if it had the mid-section of the Carapace Jerkin but sadly there's so few medium armor options that aren't a dress or trench coat so I take what I can get. As for the headpiece you can look at my earlier reply for more info on that.

You can take a look at my reply to P3PSI regarding the headpiece. If there were better fitting bone/monster themed pieces I would have used them. I did try the Dragonscale Headdress for a while but I would've had to use the Shoulder Scarf (which I'm not a huge fan of due to it's extreme puffy-ness) with it to avoid looking like a bobble-head figure.

Thank you! I added more to the description explain each of my gear choices for clarity. I'll keep this in mind for any future looks I put up.

Very unique! I agree with the above comments, and I'm intrigued at how you said you were considering the carapace chest; I think that would be a great improvement. And yeah, medium armor can be difficult to work with, but you still did quite well.

And you definitely nailed the colors above all. I'm quite fond of that aspect.

I like the use of the hood :) The legs dyed that way look really nice and remind me of burlap. The gloves are a great choice as well. The top and the boots throw me off. Medium armors of course suck for options, but maybe the Krytan top would be a good substitute?? And some less ornate boots perhaps. Your screens are lovely, and I would really like to see more.

Yeah I'll agree the boots are bit ornate but I keep them around because I like the way it shapes the legs compared to other boots, as for the Krytan top I'm not a big fan of the corset look and I also don't own the skins. One can hope Anet adds more variety to medium armor in the future right?
