"After an assassination of a [REDACTED] went sour, and resulting [SECTION REDACTED], he was declared MIA by the Ash Legion. Upon his return, much of which [REDACTED], he was re-assessed and subsequently found fit to return into active duty (Side note: [REDACTED] has been noted to converse with himself on occasion, but it has yet to impact of his performance in the field). Legionnaire [REDACTED] has been noted to volunteer on almost all counter flame field operations since his return, but no explanation or motivations were given, beyond a firm re-assurance of his loyalty to the Ash Legion. This is satisfactory for the time being, but a low-key observation of his behaviour is advisable, should the urge to converse with himself grow beyond manageable."

Hi all!
With this look I wanted to make a heavy armoured ash legionnaire trying to stick with “High Speed Low Drag” philosophy. So, no exaggerated spikes or features whilst still retaining combat readiness and adequate protection if things went bad with the initial quiet approach.

Gearset as follows:

Head: Bloodstone Visage (as Ashwolf pointed out, it limits the colour palette you can work with; so if you've got a helm you like, use that for extra colour choices!)
Shoulders: Banded Pauldrons
Chest:: Phalanx Heavy Warplate Skin
Gloves: Claws of Koda
Leggings: Phalanx Heavy Legplate Skin
Boots: Forgeman Greaves (Lawless Boots fit really nicely too if you want a lighter looking boots)

Man, I absolutely love the legion streak you have goin on, this look fantastic for an Ash heavy, very tight choices for a mobility look, with the koda armguards along with the phalanx core. I like how dissimulated the visage is, but really ye can just not use it and it'd still look great. Only suggestion I can give is that maybe some whispers stuff might look nice, especially weapon wise, but this is solid gold fer me, for flavour alone.

Thanks, glad you like it ^^
I wanted to have a "look" per legion so it had to be done :D

Weapon wise I was thinking of going with bloodstone gear, but In the end I settled on bloodstone staff as it looked as one of the most melee friendly ones (+with fitting colours) and whispers sword + shield (didn't get an axe in time).

I really love your sleek armour design, since Charr tend to look so bulky in heavy armour it´s always welcome to see a smaller design
The face, hair and fur look really nice, I am just a little disappointed with the colours
I think I barely remember any instance where Abyss+Red looked really good, especially on metal, and here again I feel like it looks quite cheap and swallows a lot of details on your armour
I understand that you wanna go with this general colour scheme, but I´d really try to use something other than Abyss, maybe something like Charred or Oil Slick, with another different dyes (along Cinders or a natural brown) mixed in, since it makes the look so much more realistic and elevates it from the standard, boring coloured dye job
Your screens are really great and you did a nice job on the little story (it´s a little redundant to specify dyes and armour in the description, there is a more practical function for that after all)
I think it´s a solid upload that could definitely improve in the colour department, silver for now, but I do see a lot of potential, so keep at it ^^

Cheers for the feedback! Lots of fair stuff there.

Defo agree with the colour critique, I can get behind the dislike for abyss and red. A LOT of warriors use it (with mandatory twilight) so I get where you're coming from. Fair point about the armor detail too. Will have to give it another shot If/when I manage to actually get some of the more expensive dyes (not quite there yet).

Nice character! Man, we both did the same scheme, Ash legion Charr, but very, very different way. You are more fitting the legion, than mine "Elite Mists Spy". Amazing creation.
