After a long hiatus she's back. One of the best things I liked about gw2 was the fact that they made a melee mage class. I used to play ele a whole lot before there was PS war and Thor hammer or d/f was a thing. This look takes the very first ele top and converts the juvenile look into a more experienced and traveling mage; the look that would show that this tough as toilet paper mage isn't afraid to brawl.

Started with the Apprentice Coat as I've always thought I could make a look using that.

For the pants I thought Primitive Legwraps looked good, and it really does. What put me off was that it was too tribal in comparison to the frills and stuff of the top, though the general shape combination of the two really matches; if only the frills were removable. After cycling through what was available leystone unexpectedly looked pretty good (especially with the back pouch). As a side note ornate guild pants also work but I prefer Leystone for this look.

For the boots, I chose Apprentice Shoes as I was looking for something high cut but unarmored. Gloves I kept simple, no gauntlets. I thought of using squared shoulders at first but as I was going for a light unarmored look, Seer Mantle did the trick to give the top a different feel than usual.

The hairstyle is one of my favorites, I've used them twice on my engi and ranger and while cycling through what's available it was down to 2 hairstyles, but this took the cake especially with the Sorcerer's Masque. The new neon eyes was also a pretty good addition to the look.

As for the dyes, wasn't too hard to figure out. Mostly darker shades of red and black with a leather-y feel (ye I really like red) with some gold and very light orange to cut through the dark shades.
Edit: After extra experimentation, to match the shoulder dye and the stones on leypants use mohair on it. Perseverance on both seer mantle and leypants also work but a bit too loud for me. imo I dont mind that the seer mantle stands out as that was my intention and I really like charred dye's shading on the stones.

I really like how she turned out and it's becoming my new favorite character to play. Yes, my cat is everywhere in the screens. Witch cat meta!

Wow, this looks really cool!

I like your armor combination a lot, it looks similar to something I used earlier on my mesmer, but on yours it is a waaay better fit!

Dyes are on spot and not too contrasted which gives this a natural feel.

Your screenshots aswell as description are absolutely well done, I love how you used the overload skills for the screenshots and nailed it completely!
I enjoyed reading your description a lot, there is a lot of thought put into it!

Gold!

It does indeed look more like a medium set than light, but that is what makes it very original. The dye job is impeccable and the screenshotss are neat, great job.

The presentation here really leaves nothing to wish for!
Screens and description are amazing and again show me how important it is to present your look the right way
I don´t necessarily get a medium armour vibe off of this, but it´s nonetheless a solid armour mix that has a quite edgy vibe to it; just genereally well fitting armour pieces combined ^^
The clipping on the boots personally drive me a little nuts, but the Leystone patns bug with pretty much all high boots, so that is excusable
The dye scheme looks very noble and I really like her white hair and yellow eyes with that
She just overall looks like a really finished character and a great upload in general, solid gold ^^
