Project idea:
I decided that I'm going to upload my characters and their current looks into this site. I would like to hear out your opinion regarding them. I've also taken the liberty of editing the screenshots to make them more appealing since my laptop isn't that great.

About the character:
This is Ingrid Einardottir. Her father was a strong warrior who met up with a woman during one night and then left her the next. Ingrid grew up without a father and always acted rebelious as a teen. This norn would hang out with "bad influences" and would search for trouble. She just loves smacking things up and is willing to accept any challenge.

However she always wanted to know who her father was and continuously asked her mother. Ingrid's mother never gave her a straight answer. Unfortunately, after a Svair attack to her village, Ingrid's mother was injured and fell ill, which lead to her demise. Before she died, the name of Ingrid's father was finally revealed.. and all about him.

Ingrid's soul was filled with pure hatred and she tried to hunt down all sorts of corrupted creatures in order to calm herself down. She spent days and nights killing anything that crossed her path. She then decided to use corrupted ice as a tool and made her own mace. It proved to be quite useful.

Ingrid eventually grew tired of slaying the dragon's minions and began searching for her father. The only thing that she seeks now is to teach her father a lesson.

You and your great screens again! It's completely fine that they're edited, as long as you don't enter your looks in the Look Battles.
Your armor combo is fabulous here - Ingrid really does give off a norn-and-proud-of-it vibe, and that sort of rebellious punkish look you were going for as well. I like the icy weapons, but I might actually swap them for the spikier, rougher Bandit set.

Have a silver. Your looks are great so far!

My laptop is really meh. Even changing the graphics to their higher settings still didn't make the game look appealing and it ran incredibly bad. So I try my best at improving them with some edits(but I think I overdo with some of them, haha). And no, I don't plan to join the "Look Battles" anytime soon.

And thank you! I'm glad you like Ingrid and the screenshots!

Love the story, the armour, everything. She just screams attitude! Definite gold.

Haha, as if the stuff in the leaderboard right now isn´t 90% edited anyways

Really cool Norn look, she could be an NPC in Hoelbrak!
She definitely rocks a viking vibe with the armour pieces you chose and your presentation is really nice!
Some of the screens might feel a little too overedited, but on the other side I do value that you took the time for different poses and settings and that´s already worth a lot!
I like that you kept a natural dye scheme; maybe you could try adding a lighter metallic dye to bring a little more variety, Cinders could go really well with the rest of your look
But these tiny nitpicks aside I really think it´s a good look and deserving of a gold ^^

In many of the Images your armor looks almost completely black, destrying any texture and depth details.
You may have gone a bit too far with the editing in these images :(

In the few you do allow us to see the details, it looks really nice and natual. ^^

There's a report button to use if you see edited images in the look battle.
Even if an edited look is amazing, it still doesn't follow the simple rules and shouldn't be allowed to enter look battles.
It simply gives an unfair advantage over those who does follow the rules.

Just pointing it out, I think it has been like this nearly forever, at least as long as I am on the site and I never really felt like it was taken all too seriously by most people here

I know.
Personally i do what i can to stay within the rules of look battles. I usually post my looks with SweetFX on to give a good first impression.
If i then feel the overall is good enough, I later upload a new main image which is following the rules 100% and enter it into look battles.
It really doesn't take a lot of work.

I'm not participating in the "Look Battles", nor I will. As I've mentioned, I play this game in low graphics and my screen's resolution is quite low. I have to edit the pictures or they will look absolutely awful.

I'm sorry your post turned to a conversation about look battles.
It's fair you use some editing to compensate for low graphic settings. You may be able to turn up some of the most nessesary graphic settings a bit just for when you take the screenshots. I personally use all low with Render Sampling on Native + Shaders and Textures on high, Ambient Occlusion, Best Texture Filtering and Character Model Limit and Quality on medium.
You could try to experience with some of these settings :)
In your editing, I just think you should be careful to not burn the dark/light colors to pure black/white and in this process kill all detail within (at least in the armor).

I do try to set the shaders to High and the textures, but the FPS become really, really low and it's really hard to pose for a screenshot. But I try sometimes.

I'll also be more careful next time editing xD
