The Exalted Sage

We served the Forgotten as long as I can remember. True bringers of light they were, depicting the will of the Gods and of Glint alike and I was proud to serve under them.
A weaver of magic I was, educated in all worldly and otherworldly manners. A true sage as my people would call me. But it seemed like our mortal hull would not be enough to properly protect Glint and all she stood for.
Immortality was promised to us in an exchange for a new, inhuman form alongside life in a shining new city: Tarir. Enchanted by the prospect of eternal life -jsut imagine all the knowledge I´d be able to accquire- I agreed to become something different for the Forgotten, something new, something.....exalted.
Ever since I dwell in Tarir, collecting wisdom and listening to signs of Glint´s eternal knowledge, fulfilling her eternal plan. I am now a creature of magic, bloodstone and metal, but I don´t miss my old form. The memory of my former self is slowly slipping away and making room for new wonders anyways.

Hey guys,
after I farmed my sorry little heart out it is finally done, I got the Luminate Backpiece! I loved it since I first saw it and I just knew immediately I had to craft a look around this beautiful piece. I saw so many awesome Auric looks on this site already, so I wanted to add to that roster with my own creation!
I tried to imagine what the Exalted might have looked like before they became the floating shinies they are now, but still wanted to incorporate many elements of their appearance into the look. I found the pieces I chose appropiately geometrical to compliment their armour feel as well as feeling like a scholar or sage of some kind. Elements like the gloves already incorporate that distinct glow the Exalted would later acquire and convey a sense of magic.
So the main picture is basically what she used to look like and what she looks like now ^^
With the dyes I mostly built around the backpiece, but kept it more on the green side as that´s the colour the Exalted Sages show in particular. I loved how the Auric weapons kinda took on the glow of the gloves where they touched them, that´s why I decided against using another weaponset as well in this look. I simply wanted a really strict theme to it.
For this upload I played around with the same retouching technique Acethyle uses, not sure yet if I´ll also do it for future uploads, but in the greenish light of Tarir I felt it would help to keep my screens sharp and lit well.
I think this look is my favourite in a while and I hope you enjoy her as much as I do ^^
