Yes,I know: Celestial dye is overrated, but I just can't get enough of it.
I love Celestial/Glints Isolation theme + the profession color using it combo,it looks better than just using Black/White or the profession color on all pieces.

I just finished this Mesmer today (Got lv80 + Chronomancer) and I must say I'm overwhelmed by the class,it is just sooo good and limitless ways to play,I just keep switching traits and utilities non stop!

About the armor:

I decided to create a Mesmer just because of this. Actually I started as a Necromancer because I'm lacking a Light Armor class, but after I was playing with the wardrobe on my Necromancer recently created (lv2) I made this armor combo and I said to myself "I neeeeed it!" but it wouldn't suit a Necromancer (Reaper) so I quickly logged off and created a Mesmer this time, because I wanted the Mesmer to have this "regal" look, and not a Necromancer or an Elementalist.

Also I have another project for that Necromancer...I just need to get my forces back to level up yet another character to lv80 and that Necro shall be join the team! (I can already imagine the Celestial+Glints Isolation+ any light green dye look)

First of all, the outfit choice itself is gorgeous. In my opinion, the items fit together beautifully, and I tend to go for a look similar to this with most of my light armor characters.

Now the issues: as you already said, celestial is overused. It looks gorgeous in the character selection screen, but it usually looks dull in-game and doesn't accentuate the armor's details like many other dyes do ( and yeaaaah, my main is also pretty much full celestial, I knoooow. >__> ).

Just like someone once said about my Guardian: "She's very pretty, but she looks like a generic character from a JRPG, not very special or memorable".

By now, I prefere using anything between Celestial and Shadow Abyss for details only, but hey, to each their own, she's still very pretty!

Hey! Thanks !

And yes,I agree with you now that you say it...Celestial does look good in character select and "less good" in game because of the weird light in some zones (for example,Blazeridge Steppes have a purple-ish light) and yes, since Glints Isolation is almost white, people in game my think I'm using full celestial, especially because people don't pay too much attention to other characters.

Abou the JRPG thing,I would take that as a compliment if I was you :P because usually a good thing about these RPGs are the art,I think they are all beautiful, but unfortunately the gameplay always sucks (grindfest)

I prefer to stick with Celestial dye themes for some reasons, which are:

I think I'm afraid to try color combos that could go wrong or just look plain bad in my opinion (example: Red+Blue)

I also don't like my character looking evil, because in my opinion PC should always be the good guy.

And because playing them feel good to me,I really like that paladin (for heavy) / holy (light) look on my characters,it looks like...hmm,how I would say...above everyone else? Can't exactly explain, but it is like, commoners use brown/gray/pale colors while someone from royalty use white and of course, gold.

Celestial makes characters look exactly what the dye name is,celestial beings. Ascended humans I would say.
