I was going for a mesmer appointed by the Royal Court to lead an expedition to Dry Top and Silverwastes. I wanted to keep the mesmer theme, but with some desert / jungle attire. I thought the Whisper's Secret Cowl might add some intrigue to the look.
The Whisper's Cowl also overrides whatever shoulder armor you have on, so by turning off the head slot, you get a different look.
I tend to stay away from the Shadow colors because they are so dark, but in this case they gave me good contrast and hid some textures that didn't look great. Also, the boot / glove purple that I envisioned just doesn't exist.

 Annette Langmar Fashion Guru | Hello~ The mix of armor pieces is nice. Elegant but a bit rugged at the same time, suiting a mesmer in the maguuman frontier. However, I think your dyes could use a little editing. I love the purple you chose, but the shadow purple on the gloves and chest piece are a bit over contrasting to the orange. I appreciate that you were matching up to the amber weapons, I think a more toned down black is in order, maybe a deep brown instead. Also the golden lion on the chest piece creates that almost blinding glare on the broach. the amber dye on the gloves doesn't sit right with me either. I think you should try mixing in a bit of neutrals because as it is, its an overwhelming amount of colour and contrast. |
