Igneous Ray Fashion Collector | The colors and armor certainly go well together. My only issue with the set is that it gives off sort of a Eastern MMO NPC vibe. In other words, it won't be difficult for many people to take the look for granted and brush right past your character without noticing you if they've tried too many MMOs in the past. The lighting may be a part of that. Would it be possible for you to upload a picture with: GemFX off No image manipulation FXAA on Supersampling on? Otherwise, good job. Your character is very pretty as well. |

Minale Fashion Collector | First of all, thank you very much! I uploaded a screenshot on maxed out settings without any shaders, and yeah, I agree that she looks a little bit "dull". I really went overboard with many of my other characters, but as she has always been my main, she always looked kind of innocent and "normal", because I tend to get tired of bold looks very quickly. But yeah, I know what you mean! |

Djehuuty Fashion Collector | I actually liked it a lot. The only thing I would change is the yellowish dye. Maybe one more visible would be better but it still looks great like that. Good job |

Hylek Fashionista | I LOVE the dye-concept! It looks very calm and divine. The only thing i dislike about that comb is the comb itself. I know it looks very nice but ive seen it just too many times (i feel like every human female uses it). Anyway, shes very pretty :D |

Igneous Ray Fashion Collector | Now I like the colors a little better with the vanilla GW2 lighting and filters. Those pictures in front of Logan are amazingly smart too. Male+Female images can be pretty good at grounding the human factor. She looks even more adorable as a well-grounded human. I get what you're saying about gravitating away from the bold. Dyes are usually the toughest part about choosing a style. One day a contrasty color will seem amazing, but the next day you find yourself reverting it. In a rare instance, you'll find you got one that you don't hate later on, and that's where the magic really happens. I can't say I'm too good at this myself. |

Minale Fashion Collector | To be honest, I also prefere the vanilla GW2 in the character screen. However, I'm so used to the sharp edges and strong colors in-game by now that it's really difficult to get away from it. :l Yeah I've found that really nice sweet spot with a few of my characters ( e.g. my Elementalist, the other look I uploaded ), but it's really difficult with heavy armor, at least to me. I have no problem going really colorful on light-armor characters, though I have trouble using anything besides natural colors on medium and heavy armor. I guess it just takes a lot of practise and lots of re-dying. :) Yeah, that armor combination is rather common by now, I've been using it pretty much since Phalanx was added, because there is so little "feminine" heavy armor, at least with many details and a high resolution, and yes - I know - she's not supposed to look like a model fighting in high heels, but.. I have enough characters looking like tin cans already, haha. It all comes down to the problem that we need more new skins! Mooaaar! :D Also, the armor used to be fully celestial, but that was too.. plain. I tried using more and more golden details, e.g. using Illumination, but it ended up looking really weird in different lighting. :c So I ended up with Glint's Isolation, which also looks weird in some places, but then again ultra beautiful in others.. ughh, dye-problems! |

Igneous Ray Fashion Collector | You're quite right on the heavy armor dyes. In fact, you've done it more diversely than I did: http://gw2style.com/look.php?id=6525 Ha! Have you played around with the white sections, leaving the gold parts as is? |

Minale Fashion Collector | .. I went through all the available metallic dyes, yes. :( I guess I'll have to wait for new ones, haha. Or maybe some heavy armor with more cloth-parts that are easier to dye! Ohh that look looks familiar haha, this character used to wear something very similar, also pretty much fully black. I used the Vigil chestpiece, though, and the primeval pauldrons. The armor ended up looking really badass, but not ideal for a character with such a child-like and innocent look.. :l Hm, now that I'm thinking about it, I went through the dyes months ago, maybe I should try it again, my mood always changes my perception of colors, haha. Worth a try! Thanks for all the ideas, though. :) |
