I am -terrible- at making Sylvari, please help!

The bane of my altoholicism. I tend to centralise my characters around their weapons or a back item. Currently Yodhe is using Warden weapons & the Fervid Censer. Mawdrey clips terribly with her armour, so has been moved to my Sylvari Mesmer. I have a Total Makeover Kit ready and waiting. Well aware that her skin and hair colours will most likely need changing to match any dye changes.

Things I would like advice on:
- Dyes to match Fervid Censer
- Dyes to match Warden weapons
- Tips for dying this armour set (T3 Med Cultural)
- Suggestions for alternative weapon sets (50g budget)

I am more than willing to give her a completely different look if anyone feels inspired! She is driving me crazy, and has done for days now. Any help is appreciated!

Ok, I'll probably blow up your budget, but perhaps look at the Enameled dyes? They leave the texture of armor intact and may be good for your backpack matching.

Other than that, I dare not to enforce you to change much hehe.

It entirely depends on which way you want your Sylvari's appearance to go. What's great about the race, especially when using their cultural armour skins, is that they can be incredibly customisable - much more than the other races and that's just through the use of dye!

If you want to base on the Fervid Censor, I suggest looking at pale, pastel colours but don't forget to match a green stalk in somewhere so it looks like it's part of you. This will also help give you an ethereal look, a bit like the Pale Tree herself.

Alternatively if you want to base it off your warden weapons you'll be needing mostly dark greens, with a dash of blue and flashes of orange/peach.

If you're still unsure my best overall advice would be to ask yourself the following questions: "do I want to look like a plant, a fruit, or a tree?" Sounds silly but I think it helps! When you think of that, it will help you choose your body type, skin tone, hair style and glow and then from there you can experiment with dyes to compliment your armour.

I hope this rambling essay helps :-)
