"Listen up, you piece of meat! One more uniform infraction and I will personally flay your scabrous hide. And I am not one to make idle threats, oh no."
The grizzled legionnaire Attis Punchline grinned toothily as the new recruits scrambled to attention. At least this lot showed respect. Wearily, he paced their line, his good eye at last resting on the offender.

"What are the dress regulations of the Blood Legion, soldier?"
The young charr at had the common decency to look afraid.

"I don't know."

"-sir." Attis corrected him sharply. "You don't know, sir. We're not in the fahrar any more, soldier."

The recruit swallowed, ears flattened against his skull. "Sir, I don't know, sir."

"That much," said Attis, looking him up and down. "Is obvious." He sighed. "Perhaps someone else would care to explain to my friend here."

Another voice piped up from the ranks. "Red, sir?"

Attis nodded sagely. "Yes, red is the colour of the blood legion, of which you scrawny reprobates are regrettably a part. Anything else?"

Another paw, raised. "Spikes, sir?"

"Very good, soldier. Spikes are a matter of time-honoured tradition amongst the blood legion. Though recruits are discouraged from the use of oversized pauldron spikes, as they tend to lead to... impalings." Attis gave a dry laugh.

Dunno if the inquest sword fits the set so well - maybe the adamant guard sword, or the steamblade would work better. The rest is spot on :)
