The world is a cold place, just the way I like it.

When it comes to magic I just have a love for cryomancy. It's always been one of my favorite set of spells. So when I created this particular character it was with cryomancy and a cold exterior in mind.

I knew I was going to want to do a winter look. I was initially hoping for a new set of winter-themed weapons would come out this year, alas it was not to be. So the crucial piece was the Ice Crown. That was also the easiest part of the equation. I struggled with creating my Tempest look as find pieces that I felt worked well together tough. I think the Lich Vestments works though. It gives this skin appearance. I was worried that the eyes would detract but I don't think that's the case. I really liked the Inquest skirt but it complicated finding boots. I had trouble find a pair that I liked, let alone a set that worked well with the look. After many attempts, I settled on the Triumphant boots. However after playing it for a few weeks I noticed that the boots clipped!!!! So now I had to go back to the drawing board. I considered Stately and Apostle boots but I couldn't get them to work. I tried to go with Ascalonian Performers but they clipped too!!! I finally settled on Dry Bones, mostly because of the pattern on them that I could fill with a much brighter color that could make it look like it glowed. I liked the waxy/plastic look from the Snapdragon gloves. Finally, I added the Tempest's Loop, which made me really happy as I like it a lot but had trouble finding a look for it.

Colors are pretty simple. I went with the winters and ices to fit the theme. I tossed in whites but I didn't want them to be too white. I wanted it to look winter and snow like but not to really blend into. I was torn on using that dark winter green border. I had a version with a much lighter blue but I settled on winter green because I wanted it to stand out. Plus the weapons themselves had like this dark core to them so I felt it worked.

Weapons were tough as well. I had really thought they were going to do another winter theme. I'm not knocking the Orchestra skins as they look cool but .... you know. So after taking a look at the previous Wintersday skins I settled on Frostforged or Glacial. I liked the mists like webs coming off of Frostforged but the Glacial just looked more amazing. Plus I felt their color would work better. It was a hard call as the Frostforged could have added another layer of color.

I opted to make use of my ice skins for my Raptor and Jackal. I like the way the water drips from the Jackal and I just love my coloring on the Raptor. Especially the red streak. However, I'm most proud of the glider. I just love that thing. It reminds me of Iceman and Frozone. I was concerned that I would be able to get high-quality pictures of it in action. I crank up the graphics for screens which in turn slows down the game. It's why I rarely have combat pics because of how difficult it is to get clean shots when the images skips and jumps. Sometimes the glider doesn't even render. This time I lucked out though and I was able to get some shots of it being used. Nothing too complicated but at least I got to show it off.

Heh, you're wearing the pants i have the most mixed feelings about in the whole game. I absolutely adore the design and used them on my mes like 5 years ago. But the little bandspulsate with a red glow, and once seen, it cant really be unseen. I cant see that fitting your look either, so... My condolence

I really like this look. A good mix of different armors, well balanced dyes, and well matched weapons. My only nit pick is the screenshots. You've got some really good ones in there but you need more zoomed in closer to your character so we can really see it, and I would avoid having your weapon obscure the view of the armor. Like I said though that's a nit pick. Well earned gold IMO.

Yeah, no that bothered me for the longest time. I wasted far too much time trying to figure out if I was seeing things, if there was a color channel issue that I just needed to figure out, or if it was just a glitch in the costume. I've settled for glitch. But I do love the design and I do my best to ignore the red glow.

Still, it was really hard to find a likable pants piece and I think that when I'm able to ignore it looks amazing. However, I don't know how long I'll keep it or if I'll use that piece again for a female toon again as it is very problematic to work with.

Thanks! I just really love those weapons and I also really like some of the weapon action shots. Using the spells helps sells the look (or any look really for any weapon). Sometimes though, try as I might, the lag between the action and the shot obscures details I would have prefered not too. I often end up with hundreed plus pics based on the fact that I was trying to get the right moment between the brief lag.

One day I'll build a faster computer and I am certain many of those issues will go away. I would love to actually play the game at that visual level as when I up the graphics for the pics I notice an insane level of detail they put into the environment that I wished I could see more often.

Well, the glow is not a glitch. The person who created it should be put into jail tho.. jk. While you won't want to continue using them, of that I assure you, for this particular look it shouldnt be too hard to find decent pants... I wont list them tho, since it'd rob you of the wardrobe experience. lul

Choice of armor, colors and detailed description I find really good. You put a lot of effort into character presentation and I can see that.
Your "problematic" point are the screens. And that has little to do with a faster PC or graphics card. It depends on camera settings and map/ location for screens. Nearly all of your characteristics look very small (too much background) and mostly they are still "cut off" from the hip. Please try out use Options Camera: Horizontal Position, Vertical Position Near/Far, Field View - all Sliders to the left.. For centering your character perfectly, use only Horizontal Position slider. As for the background - your characters merges with its surroundings.
For example Noble Pursuits: first 3 rows of screens are taken at the wrong location, wrongly positioned (lightfall on character) and (I guess) created at night. The character doesn't stand out from the background and I hardly see anything. The last 3 rows of screens are much better, almost perfect.
Here I see the same problem. Panorama views might look good when playing, but character shots are for closer range. Your character doesn't have to stand on a meadow... A few snowflakes or a snow-covered tree are enough to create a wintery atmosphere. I will your character see, not the area a few meilen in background.
