"My grandfather used to tell me stories while I lived in Divinity's Reach. He told me of my ancestry: that we were descended from a great Sunspear from Istan, who fought alongside Kormir. He told me that she fell in love with a Canthan, who came to Elona to fight alongside her against Warmarshal Varesh Ossa, and that his grandfather was their child. He then told me that this same man, in his 60th year, held off the Mordant Crescent as his family boarded the last ship from Istan, allowing them to escape to Lion's Arch as refugees."
"It was because of these stories that I began training, so I could live up to my ancestors. My Canthan mother taught me how to fight. I trained to become a member of the Seraph, with the hope that I would someday follow in the footsteps of legend. That is, until Lion's Arch was attacked, and I became embroiled in its tragedy..."
"Through my trials during the years since the Battle for Lion's Arch, I have grown strong enough to face any challenge. After the power of the sun was been blessed upon me by the Zephyrites, I return to the land of my ancestors, to face the new threats in the Crystal Desert. I return to Elona, the land of the golden sun..."

When I got the Luminous Weapon skins for the 5th year anniversary, I looked through all my wardrobe options to find an armor set that could fit with them. I've had the Zephyrite Sun Helm since the first Festival of Four Winds, and I realized that it fit almost perfectly with the new weapons. It was just a matter of finding other armor with dyeable glowing pieces to match them. I think I've finally suceeded.
Story-wise, my warrior is descended from my two main Guild Wars 1 characters: my Assassin from Factions, and my Paragon from Nightfall. I spent many hours with these two characters, and when GW2 came out, I decided I would make their descendant: a Warrior that dual wields (Assassin) and focuses on Shouts (Paragon). When they announced the Spellbreaker, a dagger-wielding Warrior that used a fighting style developed by the Sunspears, I felt like everything clicked story-wise. I was stoked to have him return to Elona, to continue the legacy of my heroes of Nightfall.
