"Centuries ago, Turai Ossa saved the nation of Elona by defeating the undead lord Palawa Joko. In gratitude, the populace praised him as the warmarshal of Kourna... and the nation accepted him as their king. Since that time, all of Kourna’s warmarshals have been direct descendants of Turai. Varesh Ossa is the latest inheritor of that legacy—and like her ancestor, she has a vision for the future of the nation.

Varesh Ossa is a brilliant commander, a loyal Kournan who instills loyalty and dedication in her troops. Like her ancestor Turai, she has also shown an interest in more spiritual concerns. Elonians see much of Turai’s greatness in Varesh. By using political acumen, her charismatic presence, and the influence of her family legacy, Varesh has rallied the Kournan army, inspiring them as Turai Ossa did long ago. Some loyal Elonians hope that she can unify the nation again, restoring it to the greatness of its past. Others fervently hope that she does not share his madness. History will see how well Varesh succeeds on her own spiritual quest."

i love it!! i think you got such a great look, given the armors we have in gw2. i like how you added some different shades of purple instead of just one. gold :)

I like how you created your own outfit inspired by the character of Varesh without trying to make the exact replica, it makes the whole thing much more creative, credible and personal.
You use rather common combinations (shoulders + chest especially), and yet the look works very well. Also, I notice the care given to the different variants of purple to get the same hue on the set, really nice. Gold:]

Glad to hear you love it. Different armor has different kinds of texture and how they alter the dye colors. I'm glad we're spoilt for choice at this age of the game

Thank you for your feedback. You have stated exactly my line of thought when I started this project. I wanted to make a ritualist cosplay but wasn't able to get a satisfying result. Luckily, Varesh steps in and takes charge.

The Illustrious chest looks amazingly powerful in this rich purple and gold binary and as the central piece of the whole outfit. I wanted to mimic the iconic fan collar but with the lack of a better option, the cohesion of the outfit was a bit off. For that purpose, I explored a V2 outfit: https://imgur.com/FAGy2rp but wasn't sure if it warrants a separate post. Please let me know what you think :D

I also tried to make a new ritualist look on a human or sylvari with the elonian/spearmarshal mask but I wasn't satisfied with the result (I finally use it for a shinobi look), it's probably better to wait until Cantha comes into the game!
Trying to reproduce the collar was a good idea but yes I'm agree, the cohesion with the rest isn't the best according to your screenshot at least. I think you made the right choice with the illustrious chest. Also it's hard to say with the pose of your character on the screenshot but the shoulders do not really seem to stick to the chest imo.

By the way I didn't notice the first time but the choice you made for the boots is great!

I've always waited for someone to make varesh since I don't have female characters that much :P
i made a concept long ago but didnt have the required pieces that nowadays are available. glad someone made her look as good as the version from gw1 :) i like everything but.... i would (in my opinion) take a more neutral gold color to match the scythe with. altho if u do that u must also take a more pink purple color for the robes. otherwise u will ruïn the silhouette of this appearance she has. although it's still easily worth gold.
