Before she awakened she had seen a vision in the dream something that felt truly magical it was hard for her to describe. There was snow and it was a celebration of sorts. Everything was cheerfully decorated, everybody was giving each other presents, there was singing and laughter as well! The vision was full of happiness, warmth and love. She had to know what it was!

So she traveled to the first place she learned had snow, shiverpeaks but she was ill prepared for the harsh landscape. Luckily there were norn who took her in and taught her everything she needed to know about how to survive such conditions. She also learned many things of norn culture such as the spirits of the wild along with the ideals and values that norn cherish. Most importantly though she was taught how to hold her liquor! After sifting through many pages of old books in search of what she saw in her dream she finally discovered what it was, Wintersday! the event was going to be held at Divinity's Reach soon so she packed what she needed and set off on her way. Now knowing that many dolyak travel to deliver toys and materials to Divinity's Reach she decided to accompany the beast of burden to ensure the gifts arrive safely.

After a long journey at last they finally reached their destination and it was everything she dreamed. The enormous winter pine trees adorned with lights and ornaments were captivating. The streets were bustling with people and were paved with colorful decorations along with the jolly snowmen made by the local children. Wintersday carols filled the air, as well as the hearty laughter of those caught up in the merriment of the occasion. It was such a lively atmosphere and there were all sorts of savoury sweet treats to eat, best topped off with a mug full of frothy eggnog! She loved Wintersday and all of its splendor. Though the thing she loved most was how it brought everyone together and showed her the importance of the people who are closest to you. Which is why when Wintersday ended she was happy to go back to her newfound norn family where she truly belonged.

Hey all! This is my first post on this site and i wish i had known about it sooner! Despite playing gw2 for several years now i've only just recently found out about it, creating looks on gw was just something i always did for fun but its really cool to see there's a site dedicated to this sort of thing. Sadly these past few years its been harder and harder for me to make time for this mmo. Lately i have only been able to play a little bit during the holidays but now that i've gotten more free time i'm hoping to change that, therefore i'll be posting older looks i made and new looks i've been wanting to make but have not had the time to.

Now thats outta the way onto this look. This is a wintersday outfit i made for my character Aravi Velutria back in nov 2016. I tried to avoid items that tend to be used alot for christmas like festive hat/scarf etc. The shoulders are dragonscale epaulettes they are not listed for some reason? i chose the carapace jerkin for the top because i really liked the way the flowers when dyed red looked like poinsettias. It presented some problems however with it being backless since i wanted her to have as much covered skin as possible to reflect that she is in cold environments but using the scribe backpiece helped remedy that while furthering the adventurer feel i was aiming for :)

Thanks for looking!

After this first post I had to follow you so i can keep up to date with what's coming! What a stunning first upload, awesome screens the theme is quite common at this time of the year, but I love how you approached it. I find it funny that in some screens your sylvari looks candid and hard working/into what shes doing, but then some other screens make her look so wicked! Nevertheless this is a gold, nice Wintersday Themed look! :D
Welcome to Gw2Style community, and well, better finding it later than never at all! :D

I love it when people clearly enjoy taking screens for their character: yes 20 means you have to be extra picky! Anyway, there is a real sense of fun from your character. I like your armour and dye choice, especially the leggings where the white looks like icing, and the snow on teh boots and gloves. I'm glad you haven't used the santa hat too. The only thing I'm not sure about is the pauldrons, it's not that I dislike them but they don't seem as perfect as everything else... Anyway, a delightful little poinsettia salad. Gold :)

Ya taking the screens was great fun..well other than that wintersday jp one, i must have died over 100 times trying to get the "perfect" shot. x_x
That's exactly what i was going for with the leggings and it took me a while to find gloves that i could dye in a way to match the white trim on the boots so it makes me happy that you noticed! :D

Thanks for the feedback! the shoulders were something i was struggling with, i was trying to go with a christmas ornament kinda vibe? i thought about using the druid shoulders but i feel these look better. It has been a long time since i made this look so there could be better alternatives now.

I mean it doesn't really get any better than this for a Wintersday look! Your armor choices are very unique, the dye choices and placements are spot on, and your screens are gorgeous. Gold.
