«She was just a small babe when we found her. An odd little creature... yet she was a gift from the jungle so we took her in. We raised her as one of our own, taught her the ways of the jungle and told her of our goddess Ameyalli. Yet the little girl always felt like an outcast. When she first saw her reflection she recoiled, horrified by a face so different than all she ever knew, different to those she believed to be her family. She always wore that silly mask of hers trying to hide her face. A strange little girl she was, that would grow up to be a strange woman. And one night she disappeared, without a word of farewell. I like to think she went looking for her kin and I hope she found a place where she could feel at home.»

Hello!
I've been lurking on here for a while now and I've finally decided to upload my first look! :)

I always wanted to do something with the Southsun mask, an awesome skin that I feel like is used way too little. It was important to me that she doesn't look like some primitive jungle witch dressed it feathers and bones and more like a proud Aztec/Maori warrior mage type character.

I tried to match the colours to the tribal weapons, a set of weapons that I like quite well. It took a while until I was satisfied with the armour pieces. They had to match the weapons set and the colours as well as the geometrical aesthetic present in the mask. As I was creating this look I drew inspiration from Maori culture and their use of geometrical patterns and contrasting colours. I wanted there to be some parts that look like they're made from the same green material from the tribal weapons set. And I also wanted there to parts that are made out of a valuable looking silk like material. Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

Beautiful screenshots, striking colors. You have presented a unique concept with a bold choice of the South Sun mask. I adore your ambition.

However, your ensemble lacks coherence. The leggings and the boots don't support the theme well. It becomes more jarring with vibrant contrast color.

Your concept is there, you only need to improve upon your armor mix. Sadly, that's the huge minus for me. Silver!

Ohhh nice first post!
The lore was great to read, lots of screens, (my favorites were the first row) and it's original!
You should consider going a more tribal route, she could definitely pull it off with the mask/weapons.

Thanks for the feedback! I actually love the leggins as I wanted to include geometrical shapes already present in the mask. These geometrical shapes and the vibrant colours, as well as the use of white, can be found in Maori culture and clothing where I definitely drew some inspiration from. But I can see how they might go against Guild Wars' more painterly and textured look!

Hello there and welcome to GW2Style community :) hope to see you post more :)
About the look, I really like tribal looks and I think your screenshots are quite good and capture the beauty of your character very well. I'll have to agree with @Iris though when it comes to the armor mix! It's not that it's a bad mix, don't get me wrong, it's just that knowing ingame pieces I can place together some replacements that would make the tribal look really triumph! I can say by heart that the Tribal Walkers would have made sense, and eventually the Bounty Hunter's Pants?! Idk, just my opinion! Nevertheless it's a solid look and quite nice first upload, falling in love with the screens! (the 6th one with the swinging braid

I actually like the choice of leggings. Other choices such as the Tribal Walkers are very predictable to me for this kind of look.

Going for the geometric shapes is a far less common "tribal" look as oppose to the common torn and tattered style.

That said I think the Tribal Vestments would be a better top, and I don't particularly like the shoulder piece as well as it seems more ornate that everything else.

Definitely up there in the originality department however.

Gorgeous screens and great use of linking to the tribal weapons, which are so infrequently used. Gold for sure. However, I do have some niggles with the armour concept that other's have already have expressed. Maybe you would have more cohesion if the cream was a tan/natural brown? Still, awesome and original first upload and a follow :)
