Kind hearted and always ready to be a positive force in Tyria, you'd never know Ilana was from a different world entirely. When that world, her home, was consumed by cosmic forces, she managed to escape with her life, drifting through space until she encountered a rift in the Mists that carried her to Tyria.

As Balthazar moves in, she is prepared to join the fight against a god. But how can she succeed when she fled the last time her world was threatened?

I know this general style of look has been done before, but I figured I'd toss my hat into the ring with my own version of it. Judge it however you'd like.

I've had various ideas for this character's design for a while, in some cases wanting to make her look very ordinary (to an average Tyrian citizen), and in some cases wanting to emphasize her unique background with bright, vibrant colors.

Somehow those two ideas eventually met a compromise here, and I tried my best to use the red highlights to tie in the themes from her bloodstone and machined weapons. The shadow daggers stand as an exception to the theme, but I like them anyway-- don't want to be too monotonous, I guess.

Wow man, I have never seen Carapace boots look so majestic before! And that medium chest armor? I think I'm in love with Ilana, now, goddamnit!

Here, take this Gold. It was well spent!

Thanks! And I suppose that's a major compliment since Ilana seems to defy the style you seem to favor. So I appreciate it!

Yeah, the boots weren't a part I thought of right away, but once I went with those pants, nothing else looked right, so they stuck. Things kind of kept piling on as elements lined up too perfectly to replace, and this is the result I ended up with.

I was just checking the last picture and I love the leggings + boots as a combo that fits together even better than the original set boots of those leggings. It's like you redefined the use of those parts and I appreciate seeing such thing!

Wish I had such awesome ideas, I never use these things because I already condone them because it either didn't fit the overall look or it was just ugly looking and I said to myself, I will never reduce myself by using them anytime soon.

So yeah, glad you made something pretty out of something ugly--in my eyes, of course. Anyway, sorry for lengthy comment.

Cheers!
