• The Mermaid •

Just a mermaid-inspired look for this elementalist - sorry to the lore fanatics that there's no special lore behind this look. However all armor pieces were selected in an effort to resemble something from the sea.


The headpiece is used to either represent an underwater crown, very much like the one Triton wears in the Little Mermaid. The shoulders are like this to resemble seaweed, colored in different shades of green. The chest piece again in green shades is supposed to blend in with nature and environment, so there's no metal on it. The bottom part was also quite tricky to do, but for the most part I figured the specific piece instead of feathers (yes I know they are feathers), one could see them as scales on a tail, plus they shape of the backside is also pointy near the bottom, much like a fishtail is (maybe this theory is a bit far-fetched but that's how I saw it). Now the gloves could also either represent scales or seaweeds again, I chose them so they blend in with the shoulderpieces and bottoms, plus they add some volume to her arms so they aren't bare. Finally the shoes are much like those worn in tribes near the water, in islands etc., they keep the feet bare but also add a small detail of shoewear. I tried to make it as if the bottoms were only the skirt, and not covering her knees too and lower leg, hence they are dyed in a pale tone to resemble her skin, allowing also the shoes to stand out.
