Ohhai! So I've always enjoyed the cooler colors and have a fondness for mountainous and frozen biomes in any game that I play - so I decided to give my warrior a make over and post it here. My look is a bit difficult to describe but I'll do my best.

The goal here was to create a blue/grey based color scheme to match with the latest LW release and still maintain an appearance that says "I'm experienced in battle, ruthless like a Lich King-like dictator). I really like the fitting of the Carapace Shoulders and Legs as they aren't overly bulky but still look as if they can protect the character from a strike. I particularly like the embossing in the hip region of the legs as well. (I'm unable to name the style of art for that).

The Arborist Boots/Gloves and Wings were a little more time consuming to pair up with the rest of the outfit because a lot of the back packs sit on the upper portion of the back and don't cover much area which didn't suit the look I was after. Wings are generic, but I like them in this case. Almost all of the heavy boots were either way too big or lacked detail. These worked out nicely as they have some bladed edges at the top and what I could only describe as gems in the shin portion of it that gave it some contrast from the rest of the armor. That's where I used a lighter green color.

For the Head gear, I went with a simple bandana over the face so the eyes and hair would show. I do really love the Sylvari class so I wanted part of it to stand out (also why I chose Arborist parts too).

The chest plate was my biggest problem. Some of the chests aren't properly fitted with the legs so it ended up protruding over the armor which looked super mismatched or sunk in too much around the hip area. There was also an issue with the armor not being big enough to properly fill in the underside of the pauldrons. It came down to a choice between the Heavy Plate Chest Guard or the Whisper's Secret Plate. Whispers won because it had more coloring options and it had spikes along the collar bone/arms.

Anyhow, tell me what you think!

Hey that is a nice first upload.
You put effort in the screens, especially the first looks pretty cool. I love the shield you use, it fits great with the icy look. Maybe you could try matching the dark colour of the shield with armor pieces?
What I do not like is the Bandana, maybe Glint's Gaze Mask or no helm would be better. For me the Bandana has a thievish taste, that does not really match with your goal. It neither fits a "happy do-gooder", nor a "ruthless Lich King-like dictator". But it does kind of match with the chest.
I suggest you to only use the wings when actually gliding, in my opinion your character looks much better without them.
I would have liked some screens in a winter environment, you mentioned you like the mountains and cooler colours so much.
You did a really good job with the dyes and I like the choice of weapons you use. They look good for themselves and match.
It is a great first upload, for these good reasons it is silver for me. I would like to see more of you :)

Thanks for the reply! Lots of good information in there and I can definitely see where you're coming from. I've noticed that Sylvari in particular have a strange fit when it comes to armor. What looked bad on this character looked really good on a human, for example.

I'll can add some more wintery screen shots, probably should have on second though lol.

A small hint for later screens: do click on targets, that are not seen in screenshots. That is how you avoid the circles on the bottom for a more natural image.

For a first upload this is quite impressive!
You got some nice screens and a very thorough description which would definitely be goldworthy for me!
The dyes are quite a nice mix of blues that work particularly well on the cultural pieces for me
His eyes look super creepy and make him more original as a whole character for me!
I appreciate that you mixed sets for this look, I do however feel like it´s a mixture I already saw in game quite often; it looks nice enough, but lacks a little finesse for me
Overall it´s a silver from me, but a really good first upload and I see a lot of potential for improvement ^^
