Hello and welcome to my second upload.

The following is based on three crucial ideas:
1) Ascension as a way to access or unlock additional power in Guild Wars
2) A theory supported by some NPC's such as Xakk that proposes, that the human gods are not really gods but entities that consist of or have access to a large pool of magical power
3) That the Mursaat do not have fighters (of course they've got jade-constructs for that) and as such, their interpretation is fairly free of prerequisites.

The Mursaat control tremendous powers - involving traveling between realms or twisting reality around them (such as in their spectral agony). But what happens to a Mursaat that relentlessly searches for more power? Said Mursaat would firstly have to minimize the use of magic in order to save it for later or to exhaust it by storage.

If a Mursaat decreased using magic, he would need other forms of power. Since it is unknown how much power a single Mursaat can control, the most reliable assumption is that he is either storing all of it or just a small bit - which would take longer to stack up.

Storing magic is not risk-free as seen with the blood stones - and would eventually lead to attacks by other beeings striving towards increasing their hoard of power. That being said the Mursaat would still need to defend his storage place in order to stack an useful amount of it. The Mursaat would be forced into learning other forms of combat - that minimize the use of magic thus mainly rely on physical skills. Since real open melee combat would still be uncomfortable for a mage - or direct combat would be less beneficial for the old tactics of keeping a somewhat safe distance to havok thus decreasing the risk of personal damage - he would mainly focus on either long-range weapons or direct assassination of targets that try to access the stored magic.

The Mursaat - which is now merely a mage but a melee warrior/assassin type - could further try to proceed his journey to greater power using the pathway called Ascension. A rite that, for humans, leads to an increase of capabilites related to accessing power. Even though it is said to be a communion with the gods, it may aswell be a general way to increase ones power. Assuming the gods are not really gods, but beeings accessing great magical power, they might have been potent magic users that used the rite of Ascension to increase it by a large amount in order to become beeings with godlike powers. Futhermore assuming that the Ascension can be broken into smaller pieces, using just one part of the Ascension to increase the power of some humans to an amount that makes them useful as their tools on tyria seems reasonable (the act of ascending in GW1 might only be one part of the big thing - and we all might have been puppets of these "gods"). Thus it might be, that other beeings can complete Ascension to become god-like beeings themselves.

This would equal that they possess large portions of power. Since we do not know if the Ascension was used by the gods to obtain or expand their powers (which would cause it to be feasable for them, that they control this process for humans, as they certainly do not want everyone to become a "god") nor we know the powers these beeings had before actually naming themselves gods, it is concluded, that an Ascension is probably achieveable by a Mursaat and would result in an increase of its magical power.

For our Mursaat-Assassin this process would be the perfect way to increase his power further after reabsorbing the saved magic and proceed to become the most powerful entity on Tyria: a god-amongst-gods.

This outfit shall represent the fictional Mursaat-Assassin that is seeking for power, ready to compete with the human gods. Colors are kept as organge-gold with dark red to complement the contrast.

Of course a melee assassin is not capable of leaving half of its body uncovered - which is a deviation of the usual Mursaat-theme. Same goes for the darkish parts of the armor. Mursaat-Mages do not cover this as they can keep quite some distance. The mask differs in a way, that it is bigger than usual and has an unusual flow. Furthermore the reddish-shimmer gives an impression of magic flowing freely, which is nice to support the power-storage theme. The gloves are in line with the normal Mursaat-gloves and boots differ, as claw-like heavy metal boots would be rather uncomfortable for an assassin that tries to sneak around (also there is only one skin using this theme - the arah medium boots - and they look.. unpleasant). The whole design differs from the original Mursaat-look - but on the otherhand, given the background, it SHOULD vary from those of ordinary Mursaat-mages. A silver lining with the Mursaat-theme is in my opinion noticeable in the design of this armor as a whole. Recognition of the armor as mursaat-ish should still be there, as the overall appearance is still relatable to them e.g. by the color-scheme, the gloves, the back-pack.

It is after all a free interpretation of what an all-powered-up magical Mursaat-Assassin could look like after ascending to be even more deadly in all possible ways.

Thanks for reading - I would love some more advice on the weapons. Mainly the shortbow as I am quite happy about the fitting of Bo (staff). Dagger will be White Mantle Seax but since this takes quite some time to get, I would also love some advice on that! :)

PS: I personally love playing with wearing this outfit as it makes playing the character feel powerful - which is why I decided to share it. Please do not hesitate to advice stuff if there are other things I could improve about it!!

I don't know why nobody commented on this yet, but here I go:

Firstly, I want to thank you for putting so much effort into this description, I don't think I've ever really read something that cool about an uploaded look!

I see you mainly wanted help on weapons, honestly, I have no idea. So I'll just judge the look as it is now!

Your armor combination is nicely done together with the dye scheme. Black and gold is not really new but has a really nice contrast and goes well together with the staff.
While I am not quite sure how Xera's mask goes together with an assassin look, that's free for everyone to interpret.

Your screenshots are really nice and some are cropped to the interesting part so you put some work into them aswell. My only advice for screenshots is to use Field of View, Horizontal Position and Vertical Position settings more to achieve more beautiful and stunning screenshots!

Your description is overwhelming and I did take my time to read this twice. It is absolutely incredible how much effort you put into this upload! Really a big fan of that!

Can't help but giving you a gold and fat props for that!

Hello there!

I am pleased that the story I set up here was enjoyable for you - even though the wall of text looks intimidating at first glance. I appreciate your kind words a lot and am grateful that you appreciate this imaginary story as much as I do.

I am honored and happy that you even went to re-read my tiny lore mash-up after finishing it once. It is highly motivating to read such feedback with respect to keeping this standard of description for future uploads.

I must admit that I do not really get the screenshots advices you gave me. Are these some in-game options I should use (e.g. the field of view)? Or did you mean the perspective and the dimensions of the screens (like cropping some more or chose better angles?)? I would really like to get what I can improve, thank you for the advices in general and in advance for enlightening me about the parts I did not get. :)

Thanks again for the lovely words and have a nice eve!!

The camera settings are ingame settings that can help you achieve absolutely stunning screenshots. If you browse(d) the site a bit, you might have noticed that sometimes characters stand more one the side of the screen to get a better fit-in with the scenery, etc. so basically that's horizontal position setting.
Field of View allows amazing close-up shots when setting it lower, so you get less distracted by the scenery and can focus more on the look.
Vertical position is a little more advanced (at least in my opinion) as you can make amazing shoulder shots, full or half-body shots, face shots and so on. It really helps a lot with getting a great presentation on your uploads!

Optionally, you can visually enhance your screenshots with third party programs (e.g. photoshop, GIMP, etc.) or crop them down to the interesting parts, but if you do it please give information in your description about it.

Hope this helped!
