My necro :)

Been playing condi necro for a bit and really enjoying the class. This is my absolute favorite look for her. Might not be the most original idea but I thought I'd upload it anyway. It does have pieces from 3 armor sets! trickster/apostle/tribal The tribal weapons are actually really beautiful and underrated in my opinion and now that they FINALLY gave us the tribal set (and apostle) I just HAD to make a look with it. I'm sure I won't be the only one.
Dyes were chosen to match the weapons.
Purple being my favorite color, I had to incorporate it in the feather elements on the armor. Sadly the shoulders only have 2 dye channels that are both part of the feathers, so giving them any other dye than purple would make em not match the helmet and her shoes :S. However it matches the purple feathers on her staff and focus as well.
While the mask might be a bit scary and ... some might say ugly, I still think it fits the theme sooo well. Adore the skull part of it. It also fits her red eyes - makes em pop.

EDIT: added more screens. tweaked dyes a bit :)

I love that you used the tribal weapons! The purple hair, dark skin tone, and red eyes are a nice touch as well. I would have put a second color on the shoulders and the purple on the gloves looks a bit off, but that's just my opinion ;) GOLD!

Thank you very much :D ive got 2 dyes on the shoulders. only way to give them depth. other dyes would make em not match the headdress and other bits. they dye very oddly.

I love voodoo, and you nailed the theme !
The colors are great, not a fan of the "all purple shoudlers", but it still fits.
Screens are really good, definitly gold ! :D

not enough armor mixing for my liking, the dyes are good for shading and description is ok. could use some armor mixing but thats just me.

Awesome armor! I just love shaman themes looks^^ The dyes fit so well with the tribal weapons, I even like the purple parts.
Only tiny thing I also like to mention are the shoulders. Maybe some earthern dye would fit better than the light purple^^
Screens are really cool, too.
Gold^^

I really like what you did with this look. While, yes, the concept isn't the most original idea, I think the combination of the armor with the Tribal weapons and the Malice focus definitely keeps it original enough. Your screenshots are well done and they all feel perfect for this theme. Your choice of backgrounds and setting are superb for showing the home and village of a voodoo priestess. My favorite screen is the third one where she's "cooking" and surrounded by animal skins. It's atmospheric and makes you wonder what ritual she might be performing.

The armor combination is very evocative of a Voodoo priestess and even without the description I could tell immediately what theme you were going for. The mask, shoulders, and "boot's" feathery aspects join together very nicely and are very suitable for the voodoo priestess theme--especially with the mask's intimidating visage. The inclusion of the leg piece was a nice surprise; it doesn't seem particularly tribal considering its more decorative nature but with the dyes you chose it fits almost perfectly with the rest of the set. My only gripe is with how often you used the Tribal pieces. Despite having a combination of three sets, the majority of this look (4/6) is from one armor set. I think using another set of gloves such as Primitive, Profane, or the Wrappings of the Lich would add more variety.

The colors you chose are really fitting . They're a good match for the Tribal weapons as you incorporated dyes from all of their parts (the feathers, staff shaft and the jade staff head) but I also like how you included some red on the leggings to blend in with the undyeable part of the chest piece. An aspect shared beautifully by her eye color--a very menacing and fitting choice for this theme. Moreover, the skin color you chose is very complementary to the white tattoos of the chest piece.

Despite this, however, I think there are some minor dye changes you could make to improve this look. As Pattou and jesandsteven have said, the all purple shoulders feel a bit off-putting, but I understand you can't change the color too much or the feathers will change color too. So to keep in line with what you said about using different shades of purple to give the shoulders "depth", I suggest changing the Blacklight on them to a Midnight Violet. I think the the darker hue of Midnight Violet will add more depth and allow one to better distinguish the details on the shoulder piece, all while matching the purple used on the rest of the armor.

To further echo what jesandsteven said, the purple on the "bangle" part of her gloves doesn't feel quite right, especially considering that the purple in this look is only used for the feathers. If you do decide to keep the Tribal gloves then I would suggest changing the purple on them to the Green Shade color you used for the "bangles" on her feet. Or even to a red color if you feel that using Green Shade again would add too much green. My last nitpick on color--and this one is more a personal opinion--would be the shade of red used on the leggings. While I think its fitting and necessary to have a shade of red in this look, I think the specific hue you chose doesn't quite match the color on the chest piece. I think a darker and more bolder shade of red would work better in bringing the color palette together. Notwithstanding, these are all minor issues that while I don't think directly detract from your look can be improved and refined.

All together, this look is really well done. The use of your weapons, skin and eye color makes this theme fairly original and the screenshots you took are perfect in showing it off. Also, the combination of dyes and armor you chose--with some minor changes--is both clever and intuitive. They demonstrate the subtle adaptation you had to make in regards to the constraints of color in the chest piece (undyeable red piece) and shoulders (both dye channels affect feather color).

I'm blown away by this long comment. Appreciate it very much! :D I've changed the color of the bangles to a green/brown ish shade. Midnight violet looks good. doesnt make much difference really :o I know I'm using a lot of tribal pieces and originally I would've gone with 100% tribal, just because I spent some time farming them in wvw xD I'll look into the red color to see if there's something more fitting :) but again, thanks for the thorough comment :D

Very cool tribal look!
Yes, its a lot of tribal armor, but why not use such a great set? ;D Also the pieces you mixed in fit very well! I dont feel like its too much tribal armor by looking at it.
I love that you matched the tribal weapons with your colour-scheme! It looks awesome!!!
Usually i hate unnatural hair-colours on races other than sylvari, but here it fits very well! Even the eye-colour matches your dye-scheme, very cool! :D
To top it all off your screens are absolutely amazing!!!
Gold for sure!

I don´t find this look unoriginal at all! Creating a look around the Tribal weapons wasn´t done on here so often that I would call it "done" and by including the Apostate legs in there I think you did a marvelous job
The dyes are on point and even though I am not the biggest fan of the headpiece it IS essential to your look and adds a lot of character
I agree that the gloves should have a more natural, wooden colour, but other than that you pretty much nailed the dyes!
Great presentation as well and I´ll happily give you a gold ^^

I like that you used those leggings because it changes the look a lot and they fit very nice with a lot of armor combinations and are not very usual.
The tribal weapons look pretty nice even more if you made the armor dyes match them. In the first screenshot it looks like if the higgest part of the staff is a recreation of the head of your character, seems like it is her personal staff!
I prefer much more showing the Tribal Headress, indeed is my favourite thing of the look :)
Cool screenshots!
