Hayato is a Canthan bard of much renown. He plays at various taverns, moving from town to town. If the money is good he will usually stick around until the well is dry. He's traveled alongside many heroes, playing their legends and learning the lore of the land. In his time with fighters, he has picked up some fighting skill. He had a breastplate made to match his glamour. He is an illusionist and uses that magic with his music to dazzle audiences with his spectacle. Keep an eye on him, for he may disappear.

I like the overall idea and you presentation really is flawless, but there is so much about the armour mix and especially the dyes that makes it feel a little disconnected to me
I´d say I like the top half more, even though it doesn´t feel inherently bard-ish at first, but it is an interesting mix that I can´t recall seeing here already, so kudos for that
It feels weird that the tail from the legs is just tucked in there, it doesn´t look like an extension of the top piece and I don´t understand why you kept the legs and boots black and red when you have so many other colours going on in the top part of your look
Not having the metallic grey from the top being reflected anywhere else made it feel a bit out of place for me
Also not quite sure why there are some screens with outfits and other armour parts in there (though I do like Lyssa´s outfit on him)
With a better colour scheme this might still make it a gold for me, but as it is now I kinda have to give silver

The guild colors for him are Red, Gold, and Black, so I tried to incorporate them all into the look. Also, he wears the outfits a lot. More than the armor, in fact. I included them since I like the way they look. I knew I would get points deducted for it. I tried red or gold for the boots, but it didn't look right to me. He looked like a clown.

I should explain some of his look, I think. A lot of times I am not inspired when I write, and so my first description of this character probably sucks. His shoulder item I might call a shawl? Meh. It was given to him by a famous bard for helping him out of a sticky situation. It's an old item, but it keeps his shoulders dry and it quite decorative. The breastplate he purchased from a blacksmith in Lion's Arch. Nothing too special there, except that it's nice and shiny so he can show off. :-P I wanted him to wear pants since he has to move a lot, and these seemed well suited for the dusty road. They've got a butt-cape for whatever purpose that serves and nice thick cloth to keep him warm. I may have mistaken the black, since I recently transmuted his clothes back to what he used to wear. It may look better in gold, so I might have to try that out. For the boots, I like my characters to wear "appropriate" footwear, whatever that means. As per the advice, I might try some different, more ornate boots. Maybe the Whisper's boots to match the gloves? Any advice?

I agree with Elessar here!
The torso-comb looks awesome, but the the look falls a bit flat under waist. The intense red colour is definitely an eye-catcher, but might look better when you hold back a little. One idea of me would be to dye the pants and chest-piece in some beige or brown tone and only dye his mantle (the shoulder-piece) in this strong red. It would look even more precious, considering the story you added after elessars comment (you should write that in the description btw ;P).
Some other boots might look nice aswell. As you mentioned, the whispers boots might work better ... i think in general just something with little golden ornament to match the fancy top comb would be nice!
Anyway, your screens are flawless and with a little further work this will become golden! A silver for now though.

I put a picture of a possible armor comb that I thought looked nice. The colors don't match up right now, because I would need to unlock the Ornate Guild Pants and the Triumphant gloves and boots. What do you think?

It looks better than the current version imo, though i think the current version would already look nice with another dye-scheme.
The colours of your new version are quite dark imo, so you would need to lighten that up a bit ;)
But the new version looks definitely better imo! It would be nice to see a v2.0 upload :D
