Some say she is an exile. Others say she is a Djinn bound in the body of a Norn woman. Others yet claim her to be a forgotten god tasked to measure the movements of the world.
Ask her who she is. She will tell you that she has wandered the world for as long as she can remember. She does not count the passing years, nor the kingdoms she has left in her wake. Mortals rise from the dust, craft civilizations and leave footprints, only to one day return to the earth.
And so she keeps her eyes upon the horizon, with one foot placed after the other keeping her thoughts out of time. This way the world can seem to her immortal.

The look came around by accident when my character was just starting out and I was experimenting with my first set of transmutation charges and a Total Makeover Kit. She's changed very, very little since the very beginning and I doubt that I'll change her at all, if ever. The backstory was harder, and I struggled with roleplaying her with the normal Norn/GW2 backstory, which all felt flat and unsatisfactory to me. I legit did not come up with the Djinn-shapeshifting-into-a-Norn woman backstory until I actually sat down and wrote the description for the look page, lmao. So now I'm sticking with it! |
